Most of our research projects are financed by CNPq, the Brazilian National Research Council.

Our efforts have been focused on the physiology of Chromobacterium vioaleceum, a remarkle bacterium that has been used in our labs as a model organism to study cell-cell communication(quorum sensing), biopolymer synthesis and violacein expression regulation.

You may find useful to use the links either on the MAIN MENU (Research) or the TOP MENU to find out more about our interests and what we are doing. Those links describe our thoughts and results on several areas of Genomica Engineering: systems biology, molecular genetics, genetic engineering, and tissue engineering.
